The study of ergonomics plays a crucial role in interior and architectural design. Students learn to position objects and furniture in a way that maximizes comfort, efficiency, and safety. These principles help them create spaces that are not only visually appealing but also meet international standards for functionality and accessibility.

Color vision

Through in-depth study of color theory, students learn how to create harmonious color schemes, solve design challenges using color psychology, and understand the impact of colors in different environments. This skill is essential for creating aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces, whether in interior or exterior design.

Light

Lighting is a key element in any design, and students at Armat Design Academy learn to master it by understanding the science of color temperature, measured in Kelvin. They explore how to balance natural and artificial light to create mood, highlight architectural features, and enhance the overall ambiance of interior spaces.

In practical measurement classes, students are immersed in the real-world process of taking accurate measurements on construction sites. They learn to apply the latest techniques and technologies to ensure precise dimensions, which are critical for drafting reliable floor plans, furniture layouts, and architectural blueprints.

Students gain hands-on experience creating realistic 3D renderings that bring their design concepts to life. By mastering the software and learning to strategically place lighting and furniture, they produce highly detailed visuals that accurately represent their vision, helping clients and employers see the potential of their work.

As part of the course, students participate in guided visits to specialized companies and design firms. These visits give them a behind-the-scenes look at the industry, showing how design concepts are executed in real projects and allowing them to network with professionals in the field.

Students at Armat Design Academy are trained in industry-standard software such as 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Corona Renderer, and Photoshop. These tools are essential for creating detailed architectural plans, realistic renderings, and professional design presentations. Practical sessions on construction sites further reinforce their skills by allowing them to apply what they’ve learned in real-world scenarios.

The diploma project is a culmination of everything students learn throughout the course. They develop a complete professional project that includes furniture arrangement, detailed measurements, ceiling and floor plans, electrical schematics, and 3D visualizations. This comprehensive portfolio demonstrates their skills and often serves as a gateway to employment opportunities in top design firms.

In 2023, Armat Design Academy signed a partnership with the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. This collaboration strengthens educational opportunities for students by providing access to joint projects, workshops, and professional support. It also fosters innovation in design by connecting students with industry experts and young professors.

The Academy was founded in 2021 by artist and designer Aram Danielyan, who is as well considered to be the founder of armat interior & architecture and Danielyan Art Studio. Over the years, we have had hundreds of graduates from these programs, many of whom now work for leading design companies or as individual designers.
